Sport

More Sports In Schools!
Have you been tired a lot for just running 1 km, then you are reading the right thing, I am arguing that schools should provide more sports, particularly for students who want to do a certain sport as part of a school curricular.  Having this opportunity  can help the student focus, metal thinking and improve their fitness. The result of this can lead to a well studied and athletic student.  If they chose a sport now rather then later in college they can have more time learning and less time regretting the sport he chose, which a will get on to later. There are other reason why more sports in school (for people who want to do a sports) can help the persons learning and most importantly there future.

Firstly:Doing sports in school can be able to set up and help them make up their mind for college. Doing good enough at college, he can be picked/drafted for a professional team with a scholarship in the certain.
This can be handy because the more focus the student is at school, the more work he can do, and thats what more sports at schools provide. This mean like what i said in my opening statement. They will not have to choose a sport in college, when you will be too caught up in learning what you need to learn.

Secondly:Doing this program can result in a good fitness routine and wake them up for school, if done in the morning. Which help the person/student learn about prioritising and doing work set out for the the person. Which will give him excellent grades which will provide a good standing stone for the student to make his name/reputation.

Thirdly:There is a lot of opportunity/gain that comes with each sport you participate in. For example if you do a sport you did not like a first then suddenly you start to learn more about the sport that gain’s you more experience.  It can also lead to a seat in the Hall Of Fame of that sport which will be a great achievement.

To conclude - There will be times when you don't what to do sports, but when you like the sport you are playing you will what to see if you can be a professional at that sport. Starting it at an early age like school can have a drastic effect in their learning and help them focus on work and what is right. This means that students will have more work done and will also help the teachers which is a win-win situation.

One Tree Hill

If you have a friend or relative coming to Auckland for the first time, the best and the closest landmark or destination for them to visit, is One Tree Hill.  With a scenic 360 degree view of
Glen Innes  and Panmure that will take your breath away. At certain times of the year, there can be cold winds but this just adds to its memorability.

Firstly the location is close to the many suburbs, meaning you can just drive to the top and take photos and have a cool walk around the base of the point. The area itself is known as Cornwall Park.   In green fields beneath the mountain itself are an invitation for families to enjoy a picnic or a barbeque if the weather is acceptable.  There are many animals including sheep, cows and  you have keen eyesight and patience, you may even spot a  rabbit or two.

Secondly Cornwall Park offers other forms of recreation, including fields to run and play, playgrounds for little kids and a speedy flying fox that invites children to have a go.  It really gets the adrenalin going!  While these things are free there are also other recreational activities that take place at Cornwall Park.  These things include Archery, Tramping and Orienteering.

If you are a visitor to Auckland, make your way to Cornwall Park and climb, walk or drive to the top of One Tree Hill.

Edgewater College visit

The 16th of May was a sunny day and we were heading to Edgewater College for our first Home Economics session. This lesson is about cooking and how to be safe in the kitchen. After a short bus trip to Edgewater College, I was amazed at how big the school was and how many students were staring at us. I felt intimidated because they had a ping-pong table and a huge campus. As we approached the outside of a building, a woman approached us and said ‘put yourself into alphabetical order’. After putting ourselves in order, the women wearing the apron said “My name is Mrs Scott and I am your teacher. We’ll be cooking in my kitchen”. After Mrs Scott put us into groups (there were 4 groups and 1 of the groups is called group 7). Audrey, David, Gabby and I were in the same group. We were making double chocolate muffin. I can already taste the chocolate in my head but I had to wait for the real deal. After getting the equipment we got started on the cooking ; beating eggs, putting chocolate chips on the top of the muffin, and mixing the mixture together from the muffin mixture. Being the last to finish, we cleaned our bench and got on with eating the muffins. I had been waiting for this moment the whole entire time. Finishing the final bite in my hand, packed up and I left some for my parents. Then we left their campus, and we took the bus back to school.
